Hello fellow bookworms!!
My reading list for #avengersreadathon19 is going pretty well, as you can see I’ve finished the second book; Delirium (it’s 36% off on BD by the way) by Lauren Oliver, which I chose as the book with one word title.

They say that the cure for love will make me happy and safe forever. And I’ve always believed them. Until now.
There was a time when love was the most important thing in the world. People would go to the end of the earth to find it. They would tell lies for it. Even kill for it.
But now love has been declared a dangerous disease.
Everyone who turns eighteen must be immunised with a procedure called the Cure. Lena Haloway is looking forward to being able to live the safe, predictable life the government claims the cure will bring. But meeting Alex, an enigmatic boy from the Wilds, might just make her question everything she’s been raised to believe.

Lauren Oliver is an American author of numerous young adult novels including Panic;the Delirium trilogy: Delirium, Pandemonium, and Requiem; and Before I Fall, which became a major motion picture in 2017. Her novels have been translated into more than thirty languages internationally. Oliver is a 2012 E.B. White Read-Aloud Award nominee for her middle-grade novel Liesl & Po, as well as author of the middle-grade fantasy novel The Spindlers.

It was kind of slow and boring? in some chapters (especially the first ones), but things got more interesting nearing the end. Predictable at some points….yes, but worth reading nevertheless. I also like those pretty (and hilarious sometimes) quotes at the the beginning of each chapter, like just look at this oneš

To sum it up,it was refreshing. I like it and would want to read the next book of the trilogy.

That’s it for now, hope you enjoyed it and see you next time!!
