Review

There’s undoubtedly a lot of hype surrounding the Six of Crows duology, I’d like to think that’s why it took me THIS long to pick it up; the fear that it wouldn’t live to such HiGh hype. So, I decided to go in with slightly lowered expectations to be on the safe side. Fortunately, this blew all my expectations to shreds and just transformed my view completely!!

The writing style, the characters, the atmosphere, basically everything is just AMAZING!! I honestly am at a loss for words to better express myself because this was just…

By now, I think I’m officially a fan of Leigh Bardugo‘s writing, because I adored the Grishaverse as well!!

P.S. I’ve seen mixed reviews about Ninth House, which I’m nervous about, but I think I’ll eventually get to it nevertheless.

The thing that I keep thinking about is how despite having more than three POVs, I was still able to fully grasp what’s happening. It wasn’t confusing or frustrating at all!!! I actually looked forward to seeing what the next POV would be and reading the scenes from different views, which is another thing I liked about this book; how we get to know and build a bond with each character, I honestly have trouble choosing one favorite.

It was quite saddening to leave the crew at the end of the book–Thankfully, there’s a SECOND book that I’ll be getting to asap!! If you haven’t read Six of Crows and were waiting for a sign–or not, this is your sign to go pick it up!

Did you read Six of Crows?? If yes, what are your thoughts?? If not yet, JUST WHAT ARE WAITING FOR???
