Hello, hello everyone!
As you already don’t know, I’m participating on #avengersreadathon19, and yes you guessed wrong right. I finished one of the book I chose,“The dry“ by Jane Harper, as the book with red on the cover (look at the title!!)

Australia is going through hard days, a lot of farms are suffering from the merciless drought, it hasn’t rained in the small country of Kiewarra for two years. To make things even better worse, three members of the Hadler family were found brutally murdered, leaving behind a little three years old angle. The father Luke Hadler, who committed suicide after killing his wife and six years old son,is guilty; or that what you everyone thinks anyway.
Policeman Aaron Falk returns to his hometown for the funeral of his childhood best friend (after twenty years of living in Melbourne), to find himself later on unwillingly drawn into the investigation. Which forces Falk to confront the community that rejected him twenty years earlier, as suspicious questions spreads through the town. Luke Hadler and Falk shared a secret, one that is going to unearth as Falk digs deeper into the killings, and secrets from his past will resurface as he questioned the truth behind his Friend’s crime.

Jane Harper is the author of international bestsellers The Dry, Force of Nature and The Lost Man. Awards include the CWA Gold Dagger for Best Crime Novel, the British Book Awards Crime and Thriller Book of the Year, the Australian Book Industry Awards Book of the Year and the Australian Indie Awards Book of the Year.

I honestly was expecting so much from this book, and I’m extremely pleased to say that I’ve got more than I anticipated. I now understand why it was described as “a breathless page-Turner”, it truly is. I was reading as fast as I can ;which seemed like a trillion hours, to know what would happen, I actually formed a theory of how things are going to be. But, guess what???
At the *checking the book for the right number* 35th chapter, I was shocked, like really really shocked, I had to put down the book, take deeeeep breaths, try to process what the actual 😅😅 happened, because ugh that’s not what I planned!!! Not even plan B or C!!
To sum it all up, here’s a glimpse of my reaction😂

It was really hard to fully process, and I’m still actaually blinking my eyes multiple times to clear that fog and checking the last page over and over again. Who knows, maybe I misread things or something?

So, what do you think? Any thoughts, anything to say?? I love reading your comments😄
AND, that’s it for now, see you next week time!!
